Academic Health Science E-Wing

The Academic Health Sciences E-Wing project added to the existing Academic Health Science Complex at the university of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. This 25,000 square meter project provides office and support space for a variety of health science programs. The building includes simulation labs for nursing, pharmacy, and medicine. Careful design consideration and analysis performed to achieve a LEED Gold standard providing excellent energy efficiency and environmentally conscious choices.

The mechanical design for this building features many innovative mechanical design concepts including Chilled Beam Technology, radiant heating, displacement ventilation, heat reclaim, and solar collectors. This energy efficient was modelled during design to consume 50% of the energy of the MNECB reference building.
