Sherbrooke Community Centre |
 | Sherbrooke Community Centre is a nursing home located on Acadia Street in Saskatoon. Phase one of the complex was completed in 1992 while phase 2 was completed in 1999. The building has the capacity of over 250 beds.
The mechanical features in the building include heat recovery on all the fresh air systems, ceiling mounted radiant heat panels for all the resident rooms and in-slab heat in the interior street.
The boiler plant includes three fire tube steam boilers with plate heat exchangers to provide hot water for heating. Large tanks with tube heat exchangers provide hot domestic water for the building and the laundry. Chilled water is produced for phase 2 by a roof mounted air cooled chiller.
Phase 1 is cooled by the use of individual condensing units.
